Altstadthotel Zur Goldenen Ente

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Goldene Ente. The manager was very nice and extremely helpful. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was included and was the standard Austrian/German breakfast. There is a restaurant below the hotel and the food there is very good also. The only downside was we had a room facing the street which overlooks the restaurant's outdoor cafe. People lingered there until later in the evening after 11:00 pm when we were trying to sleep. There is no air conditioning so we had to have the window open as it was warm. We also found that some people will come and use their chairs at 3:00 am and talk and carry on loudly. So, I would recommend getting a room away from the street if the weather is warm.

The women that ran the hotel were extremely friendly and accommodating. This small, old hotel ( with remodeled rooms) was charming and right in the center of the old city. The breakfasts were wonderful. It did not have some of the ammenities that you get in a 5-star hotel, but we didn't find that necessary. Would love to stay at Zur Goldenen Ente again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Zur Goldenen Ente for a few nights in April and loved it!! The lady who runs the hotel is the sweetest women and so much fun. We 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. It's in a great location with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby as well as all the good sites, and it also has a wonderful breakfast.

Hotellet har en helt ok standard, ikke WLAN - det er et minus. De har en god restaurant i gateplan og ikke minst har de en super beliggenhet midt i altstadt i Salzburg.
